Our family - total of 8 with 4 older teens/young adults are traveling to Barcelona for Christmas -- any tips/advice on how to spend Christmas Eve/Christmas Day in Barcelona - not sure if restaurants and shops mostly shut down for the holidays. Thanks!
Did this last year. There is a lot open on both days. Seemed like no restrictions on Xmas eve on the attractions and most Gaudi related attractions were open on Xmas. Make all your reservations in advance and you will be fine.
After the 26th when smaller towns start to get back into full swing, my advice is to take some day trips out of town. Barcelona has nice sites, but I would have a much nicer day relaxing somewhere like Girona or Sitges.
