We're looking at Spanish-Trails for a possible day trip to Montserrat and Penedès wine region. Has anyone used them or other group lately? Is it worth the cost? Thanks for any help.
YES-definitely worth the cost, in fact after our Barcelona Spanish Trails day trip to Figueres and Cadaqués “All Things Dali Tour”, we appreciated the value even more. At first appears pricey but this company has excellent tour guides, lunch was included with ours and we were dropped off right at our hotel on the return. I believe I read they now pick you up too at your hotel. The convenience of all museum reservations/tickets, our guide frequently checking on admission time and the transportation make this so reachable especially in one day. Highlight of our independent trip!
We used Spanish Trails 6 years ago, and a lot can change, BUT, we took 2 small-group tours and 1 private tour (Tarragona) and they were excellent. I just checked on TripAdvisor and they are still getting great reviews.
The Priorat wine tour was great, and a good choice if you prefer reds to whites and bubbles.
Wonderful - thanks for the great responses!
We did their Dali tour last October on Bella’s recommendation. Ended up being a private tour so slightly more expensive but we had two guides’ undivided attention for the entire day. Everything taken care of and a near overload of information from Craig and Inez. Highly recommend. We did Montserrat on our own. It was pretty easy, but we were doing it quick as we had to get back to Barcelona before our RS tour meeting.
Another thumbs-up for Spanish Trails. We also did the all day Dali tour and it was fabulous!
Thanks everyone!
