Hello,
We are headed to Andalusia in May and, based on recommendations found here, are doing several private and small group tours with people/companies. My question is about tipping the guides. Some of our tours are private, in some cases, the owner of the company. Others are with teammates (for example, in Granada, our tour will be with Alberto Rodriguez, a teammate of Margarita Ortega Ortiz.).
We are paying in cash for 2 of 3 of the tours.
What is the tipping policy? If it's the owner and we connected directly, is it just the cash price? If we should be tipping, what is the rule of thumb for percentage of tour price?
Thanks for your help.
Joanne
If the owner if giving the tour, I think a tip is unnecessary. If Alberto is a team-mate/owner, I would think the same.
