Reiterate your transport plans [TRAIN] because some don't see all posts.
You said you had been before--were you referring to Spain?
Do you have any problems with heat?

It's the obvious choice, but Spain+train+ok with June heat means Andalucia! (You might need a bus now and then but buses are fine in Spain)

I've loved every place in Spain that we've traveled to. Madrid, less than other cities, but still a nice city to visit.
We had such a great time in Andalusia, so I do agree with the above post. If you'd like to avoid the heat, to some extent, you could consider the Basque area--San Sebastian, Bilbao, Guernica, and some of the smaller towns. San Sebastian has a lovely beach. From there, you could travel some to France's Basque area, or into Rioja.

Agree with @ jules m. Tough choice between Andalucia vs Barcelona + Basque Country + Rioja. We travelled by car and loved both trips! You cannot go wrong in Spain.
