Low key, local shopping restaurants. Would like to see Barcelona
Mountains, madrid. 6 days. Public transportation ok

Six days total, or six days "on the ground"? The easiest way to get to Madrid from Barcelona (and vice versa) is the AVE train. It takes less than three hours, and you can find deeply discounted tickets about 45-60 days out. While we can't write you a guidebook, the more detail you can give us about your interests, budget, etc, the better suggestions we can make.
