Spain in Sep - Catalonia National Day weekend; itinerary help requested

We have 15D14N in Spain and would like to seek opinions on the broad outline of our itinerary, please. We may rent a car between our Granada and Seville days. Ideas on day trips are welcome! Thanks!

Day 1 (12 Sep Fri): Arrive in Barcelona. Fly to Granada.
[Mindful that it is Catalonia National Day PH the day before and some places may be closed all weekend. So instead of spending first few days in Barcelona, thought it might a good idea to go to Granada immediately. Would you all think it is a good idea?]
Day 2: Granada.
Day 3-Day 6: Seville, where we will also do some day-trips to explore the Pueblos Blancos etc.
Day 7-Day 10: Madrid (include day-trip eg to Toledo)
Day 11 - Day 14: Barcelona
Day 15: Fly Home

The "Diada" or Catalonia´s National Day is on Sept 11, as you well say, but I see no reason why places should be closed on 12 or all weekend, that would be something quite ilogical. I´d say that it´s just the opposite.

I'm sorry I can't help with the question, but I will say that in all my years here on the Forums and their predecessors the Helpline and Graffiti Wall I think this is the first time a new contributor - welcome to the Forums, 55birding_coupon, has called themselves after a coupon....

Thanks Mikel, for taking time to reply and for your inputs! Ok, so maybe we can consider spending first few days in Barcelona too…

I’ve been in Barcelona more than once on September 11 and had no issues with things being closed. I found it rather interesting to be there for the celebration.

I was also once in Barcelona on a Sept. 11. The march routes and related activities were in well publicized locations. I was interested in seeing the celebrations/commemorations but could have easily planned to avoid. As others mention, it did not lead to places tourists go being closed and did not carry though to the next day.
