Spain in June/July with kids- where to visit?

Hello! We are planning to take our 5 and 9 year old kids to Spain after school gets out- we are planning for about 2 weeks at the end of June-beginning of July. We want to do Barcelona, but aren’t sure which other cities we should visited or how many in the time period.

We have thought about the Costa Brava, San Sebastián. I’d love to do Seville, Granada, but keep reading it will be too hot and to stick to the coasts.

Realistically, with young kids, can we do 3 locations? Which should we choose? We aren’t on a super strict budget, but definitely a budget and costs are a part of our consideration.

Thank you!!

Perhaps a discussion with your children to see if they have any ideas would be a good start. Granted, they are young; but, their involvement would go far in making the trip enjoyable for all.

Donostia-San Sebastian is on the Atlantic coast and weather may not be that sunny. It has three beautiful beaches, but it´s not a beach resort of any kind (for example, just two hotels have small pools...the rest don´t, weather does not make it economically feasible), I would go to the Mediterranean to find places prepared for kids...plenty!! June is not hot at all.
