Spain in February. Up to 30 days.

I have read a number of past post, however I still need some help. So, thanks for reading this and thanks for all opinions. We have visited both Barcelona and Madrid in the past. We are looking now to spend the month of mid-February to mid- March in southern Spain because for the weather and culture. The number of days are flexible. But nothing shorter than 15 nights up to 30. We have considered Valencia, Seville and then Malaga. All three on the same trip. Normally we like to stay in one place for a month and just sink into to it. This time we want experience at least 3 cities for a future return. We don’t like moving around every couple of day. We choose these three cities based on reading and some of what friends have said. We are from San Francisco, so we love water and city. Walking and finding out own way. Not tour people. We always rent a place on on VRBO or Airbnb. We don’t want to read a car. We love the trains.

Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

All of those would be nice, but without a car, I would choose Sevilla because I have a hunch day trips would be easiest. I would delve into the train and bus options to help you decide.

Would you consider dividing up the month between Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga? Granada has the amazing Alhambra, and Cordoba as the magnificent Mezquita. I know everyone has different interests, but I can’t imagine visiting Andalusia and not visiting Granada and Cordoba. You could spend a week in each city.

Trains are the best way to travel throughout Andalusia!

Seville is special, I strongly recommend staying there. You could do a day trip to Cordoba and perhaps another to Cadiz.

From Malaga, you could visit Granada and Rhonda.

Thanks to both of you for replying. A trip up north by train would definitely be possible. I was thinking the coast would provide better weather that time of the year. Trying to avoid gray and rainy….and cold. At least not as a big factor. Is my logic on the weather off base? We will definitely be spending some time on the water.

I think that Granada could be chilly because it’s located in the mountains. But Granada is definitely worth a visit to see the Alhambra.

Not sure about the other places. There is a reliable weather site called timeanddate.com that you could check.
