What the shaded areas are very confusing on the graphic about Spanish history that is in the Spanish guidebook. It’s not clear what the shaded areas and clear ares represent. Could anyone clear it up for me? The top portion is clear (area 1). The next portion down is shaded (area 2). Middle portion is clear (area 3). And the bottom area is shaded(area 4).
