We are planning a trip to Spain. We will start in Madrid for 3 days and then to Seville for 3 days. We are looking for a beach town nearish to Seville to chill out for 3 our 4 days. We would like to rent a house and be close to beaches and a town for nightly dinners. Any suggestions on a town/area to stay in or to avoid? It is 4 adults and 5 teenagers. We will probably rent a car in Seville for the days near the beach.
I would suggest Barceloʻ Punta Umbria Mar, about 70 miles sw of Seville.
There are plenty of beaches along the Bay of Cádiz. Towns to look at include Rota, Chipiona, and San Lúcar de la Barrameda. I know that Rota gets busy with tourists beginning in late May through mid September.
Another beach near the one recommended by the previous poster is at Mazagón. Both are by Huelva, a city not on many tourists radar.
Highly recommend beaches east of Cadiz along the Costa de la Luz.
Look at Conil de la Frontera, Zahara de los Atunes, El Palmar de Vejer, Zahora, etc.
Sanlucar, also.
Cadiz city has beaches, too, and you would not need a car to stay there. No car really needed for Sanlucar, either.
Wide sandy beaches, many rentals close to the beach.
Look especially at rentals in the vicinity of Vejer so you can enjoy that gorgeous small town and be at the beach in 15 minutes.
Very few high rises in that area..mostly low-slung hotels and rental flats.
