Spain airport strike

Hi everyone,
Just hoping someone can give some updated info on the Spain Airport security strike scheduled for September 24, 2017.
I in Spain now and will be returning to the USA on 9/24/17 but can't find any updated current info on the web if it is scheduled or not. I think it may be postponed but not sure.
I am locked into that date and am figuring on giving myself plenty of time to deal with longer lines etc. I will be flying from Bilbao at 7 am to Barcelona and then from Barcelona to Oakland CA on Norwegian at 2:55 pm. Both carriers and both airports say nothing on their web sites.
Thanks,
Liam

Liamof, not sure whether they are still in discussions or whether the vote to strike has been ratified. Maybe there will be more info on the websites/articles linked in the post imbedded.
I have a feeling it is still too soon to tell as Sept 7 talks were 'successful' and Sept 22 start date was delayed.

... no info on major newspapers that I can see, only found this: http://beteve.cat/fixats-els-serveis-minims-per-a-la-vaga-de-seguretat-indefinida-a-laeroport/ dated from Sept 13th. My take would be that if no news is appearing it means the consequences, if any, are minor. Yet the strike was supposed to start, according to this news, only last Saturday 16th, that's two days ago, so I would wait until later today (Monday) which is a day in which air traffic is greatly increased, to see if anything is being said in the news.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your help.
After a little web research I have found that the airport strikes scheduled for September 22 an 24 have been suspended since negotiations are on going but there is still a number of dates in October and November that are scheduled. So, I would urge people who are traveling during these times to check the dates to see if you are affected by the union strikes.

I had heard that there may be strike for the trains October 7 and 8 weekend. Any updates on that or is it just rumor? Thanks

Richiec, I read elsewhere that train unions reached an agreement so at this point at least the Sept 29 strike is called off, and I assume the rest as well. Check the Renfe website and google for information. Also, in the past, at least some trains were running on strike days - but AVE trains were most affected.
