This is a follow up to a previous post. Opinion requested…for travel to Barcelona in late February how far in advance is recommended to book hotel or Air BNB accommodations? My travel companion is wanting to wait perhaps end of September to book something where I was thinking now. We want a good central location. Thoughts??? Thanks.

There aren't likely to be any more options as time goes forward. Filtering by cancelation policy could allow you to book something flexible, and scan for other options in a couple of months. (But whenever I do this I end up sticking with the original plan.)

We book hotels shortly after buying the airline tickets and that is usually about five months out. If wanting a specific or small (few rooms) hotel, it’s better to reserve earlier. For Barcelona in February I’d guess there will be plenty of choices no matter when you reserve. September is still five months before the trip, so waiting until then probably wouldn’t decrease your choices. It’s a personal preference.
