Skip Cordoba? And only visit Sevilla and Granada for 5 days?

I was planning to visit Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada in late May for 5 days (5 nights). But now I wonder if I should skip Cordoba as I hear there's so much to do and see in Sevilla and Granada, and both of which more interesting than Cordoba. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Travel tips/restaurant recommendations too.

Thank you kindly.

It depends on how you define "more interesting." I found the Mezquita to be extremely interesting especially if you have any interest on the Moorish influence. The Moorish influence or presents is much greater than in Seville. I would not spend a week there but certainly a day trip from Seville would be very appropriate.

Thank you for your help—much appreciated! I think it's doable for us to take a day trip to Cordoba if we stay 3 days in Granada. It does sound interesting to see Mezquita if not anything else in Cordoba.

To me, Granada is a one-feature town, namely the Alhambra (admittedly a spectacular one). The sights and ambiance of Córdoba outshine everything else Granada has to offer.

Thank you for that itinerary! It sounds perfect. I'm glad that I haven't reserved rooms yet, but I happened to have booked flights from Barcelona to Sevilla, then back to BCN from Granada. This itinerary would work out well. Thanks again, djp_syd!
