Hi there, my hubby and I will be in Barcelona for 2 nights on 9/29 and 9/30. We will be staying with points at Dolce Sitges. What is there to do around the area? We'll be going to San Sebastian afterward, so beach isn't necessary. More interested in museums, parks etc.... oh! and good tapas and wine!!
You're not going to be "in" Barcelona for a long shot, you're going to be 40km from Barcelona. There are two trains every hour up until 11ish pm or so (www.rodalies.tk) and the journey takes 45'. BUT then from the station in Sitges to Dolce you'll HAVE to grab a taxi as Dolce it's not in Sitges either, it's on the outskirts, by the golf course. And no, there's no way you'll walk to/from Dolce! (you'll understand when you are there). To be frank, that's not really the most convenient location... it's pretty indeed, but too far and isolated.

Beach-wise, beaches in the Mediterranean have nothing to do whatsoever with beaches in the Atlantic. This is debatable of course, but for me, the Mediterranean ones are far better for many reasons. So I would consider Sitges if you want to "beach".
Thanks! How much should a taxi be from Sites to Dolce?
Sorry, no idea... but I would "guess" 15€ or so? Dolce is 5km from the station.
