Odd question: Is there a single room restroom in the arrivals area of MAD Terminal 4 (after passport control)? My husband and I and our two dogs and one cat are moving to Spain in early November. A big part of the planning is focused on getting the pets to Andalucia safely. We land at Madrid Barajas early morning and then have an 8-hour drive to our new home. The dogs will be able to get out of their crates as soon as we pick them up at the baggage claim. But our cat will be stuck in his carrier for the duration. It would be ideal if we could find a restroom to let him out long enough to clean out his carrier and feed him before the long final leg of the trip. But it needs to be a small private room, not a public restroom. Do any of you frequent flyers know if such a room exists past passport control at MAD? Thanks!

There are few regulars restrooms and I don’t recall seeing one like you’d need. Consider looking up a map of the airport and terminal. It may show something.

Thanks. There are decent maps of the terminal that show restrooms but do not make clear if any are singles (like what we call "family restrooms" in the states). I've been through many times myself and never seen such a restroom, but of course wasn't looking for one.
