I am looking to buy a sim card for my Android phone in Madrid for use in Andalucia, Extramadura, and Madrid for 5 weeks. Any recommendations on best place to buy the card in Madrid, and whether to go with Vodafone, Orange or Movistar? Thanks!
Best to buy your SIM card on Amazon.com. We’ve purchased the Orange Holiday Sim for our last three trips to Spain. They work great in unlocked Android and iPhones (we are with Verizon, so their phones are unlocked). It will be a France phone # but works throughout Europe. Just install the SIM in your phone (I install ours during the flight to Madrid), then turn off airplane mode after you land. You will get a text from Orange confirming you are connected and can start using data or making calls. Orange currently has a special deal that gives you 20GB for price of 10GB if activated on or after April 4: https://www.amazon.com/Orange-Holiday-Europe-New-Package/dp/B07RXYH2NW/ref=sr_1_1?crid=36GDZB28AVBKG&keywords=orange+holiday+sim&qid=1582938986&sprefix=Orange+holiday+%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-1
Or 8GB sim for price of 3GB: https://www.amazon.com/Orange-Holiday-Europe-currently-promotion/dp/B07NLCL9SP/ref=sr_1_2?crid=36GDZB28AVBKG&keywords=orange+holiday+sim&qid=1582938853&sprefix=Orange+holiday+%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-2
You can also use these to create a WiFi hotspot for your other devices such as an iPad or Fire tablet.
