Sightseeing in southern Spain before and after Easter

My husband and I will be traveling from the Andalusian region towards Barcelona during this important religious time. Any advice on where to go or how to avoid huge crowds?

Yes, we are currently in Jerez and will head south tomorrow. One idea is to enjoy one day trips to Morrocco, then Gibraltor, as per Rick Steve's suggestion. Then on to Granada and towards Barcelona.
Thank you for the link with the week's events!

You are not going to see huge crowds except along the processions' routes in cities and at certain times. Easily avoided. Look at a map and google and go wherever IF you have the time.

Also keep in mind many places may be closed on the various holy days (Good Friday and Easter at the minimum).

Thanks to Neil and Kate for your additional info. We'll try to plan according to your input. 😊
...and hope the forecast changes and doesn't rain on our parade. 😉

Darn - I already have a commitment for that week, otherwise I'd consider returning to Malaga, but not to Sevilla.
