I am wondering if anyone has toured the Alhambra in the evening? Rick's book is a little confusing as to the best plan, see the whole thing during the day or split it into two visits. I will be there the first week in Oct.
When you visit the Alhambra at night, you only see the Nasrid Palace - and only a part of the palace. So, you definitely want to do a daytime visit to see everything. A night visit is an interesting complement to a day visit, or it's a compromise if you can't get daytime tickets, but it is not a substitute for a day visit and is not equivalent.
Agree with Harold, but.......... Tis a very romantic place at night so bring a date!
The Arabs brought dates ... and almonds, and oranges, and eggplants.
I did the night tour of the Nasrid palaces, and like Marbles, thought it was romantic and very beautiful, also some nice views of Granada at night. I went back the next day and was completely wowed by how different it was in daylight. And thinking back on it, I am very glad I did it in that order.
Tip: If you want to spend more time during the day, choose a morning ticket with a Nasrid entry after 11.30 a.m. It's a quirk in the system, but that allows entry to the other ticketed areas both before and after 2.00 p.m.
Thanks everyone.
