We are considering staying in an apartment in Seville and will be arriving at noon but can't check in until 3 pm. RE guidebook says that luggage storage is available at the bus station. Does anyone know whether luggage is checked in or is put in a locker, in which case space might run out. Are there other places where luggage could be stored for a few hours?

I Googled luggage storage Seville and got several hits. I don't know whether one of them will answer your question, but there are additional options, beyond the bus station.
Sometimes the host allows storage, evennifnit is the apartment after the last person checked out...though the cleaners may be in there with your luggage. Otherwise ask them about close options. There are apps like Nannybag that will show alternatives.
