What is the best way to get to Lisbon from Seville ? Thanks !

We are going from Lisbon to Seville (so the other way) and I was shocked that there was no direct route other than to take a really long bus ride (I think it was like 7 hours). We will have 2 small children with us and that didn't sound like a good idea. I think there was a way to do it through Madrid but that made it an overnight trip. There are also flights, but I think they are a little pricey. We ended up choosing to take a train from Lisbon to Faro, spend a few hours there, and then take a bus from Faro to Seville. There might be an option like that going your direction...

Without knowing what you want from best.......
- you have a long overnight bus journey with www.alsa.es, flights, a combination of bus to over the border and onward train or bus or a circuitous overnight train journey via Madrid.
