Seville to Granada by bus or train on a weekday in January

The train is costing 60 euros for 2 people the ALSA bus about 50 euros.
The train takes 4 hours the bus 3.
Which do you prefer and what time to leave would be ideal?

About half of that "train" route is by bus, anyway. I've not taken an ALSA bus, but people have suggested the buses and seemed satisfied. Bus is cheaper and faster. Unless there is something about the ALSA buses I do not know, I'd take the bus.

Good choice. We took the bus and were very comfortable for the relatively short ride. Anything longer and I would prefer the train, but I would take the bus again for this trip. Enjoyed the scenery and a siesta.

We took the ALSA bus from Cordoba to Granada, and then from Granada to Malaga. I highly recommend it and am happy to see you booked the bus tickets. The bus is modern, clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The driver gave each passenger a bag with a bottle of water and some snacks! Nice touch!

I think kmkwoo probably was on one of ALSA's "deluxe" buses. I believe that snack is the major difference between the deluxe buses and the regular ones. I thought the regular buses were perfectly fine, though I haven't traveled the route in question.

Yeah, no snacks or water on our bus 😬

But since we paid 5 euro per ticket, I’m good with that. Still a totally comfortable ride.
