Seville to Cordoba

Viator offers a number of day trip tours from Sevilla. Tthey subcontract through local tour operators. In theory you could find a local tour operator, but the convenience offered by Viator on several tours, easy payment and so on, has worked well for us. 3 weeks ago we used Viator for day trip to the While Hill Towns, and also for a day trip from Sevilla to Granada to see the Alhambra. These were good tours with excellent attention to detail from the local tour companies that contract with Viator.

But perhaps a better choice for you, for the comparatively short trip to Cordoba, would be what we did: Again, wanting to avoid changing hotels, we were home basing from Sevilla, and found it easy, for the comparatively short trip to Cordoba, to do it ourselves by buying train tickets to Cordoba at the Sevilla station on the day of; and we'd done enough research so that we did the Mezquita and other Cordoba sights on our own. But if you don't want to do a lot of research on your own, then a tour operator or guide might work better for you.

There's AVE (fast-train) service between Seville and Cordoba. Traveling by bus or private vehicle will be much slower, but a private guide would presumably pick you up at your hotel, which might save enough time to equalize things. Otherwise, this is an easy day-trip to do on your own.

I have no experience with guided day-trips or bus tours in Andalucia, so I can't provide a recommendation.

I just did two guided day trips by private bus in Andalucia: one from Sevilla to the White Hill Towns and the other from Sevilla to Granada. And we did Sevilla to Cordoba by yourselves. So if anyone has questions about those....

Kent - Who did you use for those tours? Would you recommend that guide?

Seville to Cordoba we DIY'd, everything ourselves.
Seville day trip to White Hills used Viator, and also used Viator for Seville to Granada.
We had an excellent experience on both Viator tours and considered it well worth the cost, they take care of everything, except you do have to call the local tour provider (contractor of Viator) the day before to confirm where you want to be picked up.
