Seville's 2026 Flamenco Festival

Rick Steves three time vet here. About six years ago, my wife and I planned a trip centered on Cadiz' city carnival. We loved it. We used local train and ferry service to explore the triangle of Cadiz', La Puerta de Santa Maria, and Jerez de la Frontera. What an amazing area to explore.

Jerez' Flamenco Festival overlapped Cadiz' city festival by a couple days. We attended one of final performances at the Vilamarta theater in Jerez. We loved it. We were hooked. Next day, on our way to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, we walked from the train station down a side street by the Vilamarta theater. On the street, we could hear a rehearsal session of guitarists and dancers a couple floors above, it was charming.

Anyhow, we would like to go back to the region. We want to focus on Seville's Flamenco Biennial in September 2026. We would like to build a trip based in Seville and centered on a nightly performance. We would like to use our days to explore surrounding towns an villages as day trips.
Can anyone recommend a Seville based company to help us get a package af performance tickets as well as local guides to accompany us on several day trips outside of Seville?

Did you check the official sellers of festival tickets?? Is that not a good place to buy them???

You might contact Shawn Hennessey about touring outside the city, although she is focused on food and wine...she also offers some great summaries of how to visit the popular nearby towns on day trips, self guided.....if that's of interest....she just sent out great plans to visit Ronda and Jerez on day trips from Sevilla...she has a great SubStack that you can subscribe to....BITE SIZE SEVILLA.

Thank you...

I'm off and running. Excellent referral. Subscribed to her substack.

I'm reviewing the performers list on the events website starting with Yourube. Looks like there are still tickets availible.
