Hello!
My wife and I have booked our first trip to Europe for next January. We are scheduled to arrive in Seville on a Saturday (via Jerez de la Frontera Airport). I am planning to stay there until Wednesday, and then I have a decision to make.
-Plan 1: Rent a car Wednesday and stop in Ronda for the day, en route to Granada. Stay in Granada Wednesday and Thursday night, departing on Friday evening for Almeria, where our flight leaves Saturday morning.
-Plan 2: Train from Seville Wednesday to Madrid. Stay there until Saturday, where we can catch the second leg of the return flights home.
Plan 1 was my initial idea, but having to waste an evening getting to Almeria to catch our flight (flights from Granada didn't work with points/schedule) is less than ideal. From my understanding, high speed rail back to Madrid from Seville, plus being close to our departing airport would allow us to take better advantage of our time. So for a first-time visitor to Spain, would nearly 72 hours in Madrid, after experiencing Seville, be preferable to several hours in Ronda and about 48 hours in Granada?
Our priorities are...
