We are thinking about coming to Spain the first week of December, with 3 nights in Seville and 4 in Madrid. We read that Constitution Day is Tuesday 12/6 and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is Thursday 12/8. Does this mean that most things will be closed both of those days and the Monday/Friday before and after? We do not want to book this destination if most of our itinerary will be compromised. So, what will still be open and what won't be? THANKS!
According to TripAdvisor's list for Madrid, nearly every museum is open on Dec 6 (the Reina Sofia is even free that day), and they are all open on Dec 8. I would expect about the same in Sevilla. Googling "Madrid museum hours" brings up a list.
If you mean restaurants - they'll be open. I was concerned that they'd be closed on Easter Sunday (huge holiday) but I was assured that they'd all be open and excited about the extra business from locals - and indeed they were.
