We are in Toledo and plan to take taxi to madrid airport on Wed morning. Any advice on madrid airport? Wondering if taxi can bring us to T4S, or if you have to take shuttle from T4 to T4S. Thanks!

Liz and Pat - We'd call T4S more of a concourse than a terminal. You'll take a taxi to T4, check-in, go through security, then go to the underground level to take a train/people mover to T4S, where you'll go through exiting passport control.

Liz and Pat - Ouch! I'd read about that! Would certainly be wise to plan some extra time. It'll have passed by the time I arrive next Tuesday.
Also- In Madrid, I love Baco y Beto for dinner and La Perijila for lunch or dinner. And the outdoor tables of any bar in any smaller plaza for coffee, beer, wine... The Sorolla Museum, Palacio de Liria, and Ceralbo museum are some favorite, lesser-seen spots. Also, the Naval Museum is surprisingly cool.
