We plan to go to Seville in late September for 5 days likely 25 to 30, followed by 3 days in Granada and 4 days in Barcelona. Would Seville and Granada be really hot at that time? We can try to push it to later in October, but then would only be able to go for a week which does not seem like enough time for all of these beautiful cities. At the same time, my husband is sensitive to very hot weather so if late September continues to be really hot would move dates.
I use this website - wunderground - to look at historical weather (temps and precipitation). Here is the link to September 2018. You can change the year to go back a few to see if there are any trends, but I am going to say, yes still very hot.

I was there early November 2017 and it was still in the low 70'sF
We were in Granada in September 2017. While the temperature was warm (80's), we didn't find it to be unbearable. I remember wearing capris. However, we were in Seville on that same trip in late September/early October, and it was 90 - 95 every day. I switched to shorts for our stay in Seville. Seville was definitely the hottest place on our trip, which included Madrid, Toledo, and Andalucia.
Andalucia is the hottest, driest part of Europe. I'd reverse the order, Barcelona first, Sevilla last. Here's another place to see historical weather.
Thank you! Unfortunately due to time-off from work it seems we are saddled with September 24-Oct 5th. Will be hot but hopefully we get used to it. Round trip from Barcelona is the cheapest by quite a bit, so we are thinking we do Barcelona first, Granada next, and Seville last (as suggested above). Does mean we would have to take an early flight (like 6 am gets In 8 ish) from Seville to Barcelona on the day I leave from Barcelona back home (3 PM flight!). Bit close, but we are thinking it’s workable. Generally would have done an open jaw but the cost difference seems to justify the round trip in this case.
I was just in Sevilla in the last week of April, and it was noticeably hot. You've probably already researched the average weather for your dates. Of course, no one here can tell you what the actual weather will be for your dates.
My last visit to Sevilla was in mid-October (20-21st) 2011 and the temperature was fine; not overly hot. Our 2014, early to mid-September (Granada, Almeria, Murcia, Cuenca), trip happened to be during a heat wave and it was miserably hot.
I was in Seville last October and it was warm but pleasant although you will still probably want air conditioning to sleep at night. The excellent guide we took for a walking tour explained that October was their busy time because it was as early as most people felt they could enjoy the city.
Especially in the old city the buildings are close together and the cover the streets with awnings because it really does help. Even in October it felt 10 degrees warmer in the open than in the old lanes and alleyways.
Granada is at about 2,500 feet and that helps cut some of the heat - especially at night.
If it is warm take a cue from the locals and get out early, siesta in the afternoon and stay out late. Don't worry about things not being open late - everything in Spain is shifted two hours forward from what you're used to because of this kind of weather.
There's a big drop off between September and October so I guess the question is at the end of September which side are you on this year? I wouldn't let the potential heat keep you from going but how sensitive you are to it is up to you.
Have a great tip!

We have been to Sevilla twice, both times in late October and the weather was perfect, not hot at all, comfortable, but warm enough to not need a sweater or jacket during the day.
