Has anyone ever been told to attend a Flamenco show in Seville. It is at night and a well hidden sight. I am told that a Red door will make the place. I have also been told that if you ask around people will know about this place. So I am hopping that possibly a Community member will have heard or that a resident of Seville will know what i am talking about. Thanks
I don't know about the red door, but there are plenty of great places to see an authentic flamenco show. We attended a show at the Casa de Memoria and it was fantastic.
Are you looking for a "show" or authenic flamenco in a spontaneous or semi-spontaneous manner? Sevilla has flamenco by locals that happens very late at night in unmarked venues. It isn't meant for tourists, so you need to befriend a local to find where and when while you are in Sevilla.
Cheryl,
I've not heard about the red door, however, my mom and I enjoyed the one hour flamenco show at, 'La Casa del Flamenco', which is recommended in Rick Steves' Spain book.
Enjoy your time in Spain!
I found this information on Yelp. The review describing how a bouncer made a party move to accommodate a tour group is a concern, but we will probably check it out next month.
