Seville during National/Hispanic Day weekend - potential problems?

Hello, We are planning our trip to Spain in October and just realized that we will be in Seville during the three day weekend for National/Hispanic Day - Monday, October 12. Would appreciate any input on whether we will encounter problems like museums, restaurants, or markets being closed? Or limited transportation? We could either adjust our itinerary or just be well prepared for crowds. Much Thanks.

This is a very low key holiday in much of Spain but it is a holiday for many workers.
All eateries will be open as usual. I strongly doubt it will affect museums, but check websites. Not sure what you intend with markets.

Hi Neil, thank you for replying. By markets, I meant grocery stores. We were in Salzburg, Austria on Ascension Day in 2013 and it was very crowded, stores were closed as were most restaurants. The restaurants that were open closed early that day, so we should have had dinner earlier. We didn't realize this until it was too late. We ended up eating at a hole in the wall place near the train station - very tired and hungry. Just want to avoid this experience in Sevilla.

While I have never been in Seville on National Day, I have been in Madrid, Segovia, Burgos and Barcelona. I never experienced any closures of tourist sights, but the number of visitors may increase slightly as some Spaniards take advantage of having a day off from work may choose to visit them. Restaurants and other businesses catering to tourists really did not seem to be affected significantly.

Thank you, Jack. It sounds like it might be more crowded but not crazy. We were in Nanjing China on October 1 - National Day - literally shoulder to shoulder with thousands of people - it was way too scary as I fear for a stampede - I stayed on walkways near stores which had their doors open.

Just make sure you have hotel reservations -- Sevilla was booked up in 2008 when we arrived, had to use the TI at the train station. Festival of the Macarena, religious parades, lots of people in town. But we were able to eat.
