Seville during Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Hello all

We find ourselves traveling to Seville from Dec 6 - Dec 9 2024. Has anyone been here during the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Is it too crazy and everything too packed? The hotel prices are double the normal prices. Appreciate any insights for first timer in Seville.

You don´t have to know, but Dec 6 is Constitution Day in Spain and therefore a national holiday. The Inmaculate Conception is on Dec 8. This is one of the biggest "bridge vacation" in Spain, mainly when it´s on a Monday and a Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, two almost consecutive holidays. Prices on these dates are normally very high, this year it´s a festivity only on Dec 6, no major events (as far as I know) on Dec 8, just a day off if on a weekday and special masses (but mass attendance in Spain is quite low).

I read about that its just weird other cities in Andalusia are not showing such a crazy spike in prices. So there is no processions, like during Semana Santa?

There are singings and dancings by the "tunas", a very Spanish tradition, and probably a procession, but not sure. Seville is just another world...
