Once again we are returning to the Andalusia region of Spain in late March
Seems we can't get enough of it, 3rd time.
This trip were in Seville 2 night, March 24-25 2025.
We could use some hotel ideas, and a good location to stay near Seville Santa Justa.

As well places to see,,,, Good places to eat.

Then March 26-27 we are in Cordoba,, could use the same info for Cordoba.

Please no information on Granada, or Ronda,

Thank you
John

Hi John, I will be in Sevilla early next year for the third time, also. I am planning to take the See by Bike city tour again. We did it the first time we were in Sevilla, and it was a lot of fun, plus a great way to see a lot of sites & hear some history.

Also, there’s a paella cooking class located at the Triana Market.

We like to stay near the cathedral and just take an Uber to the train station, so I don’t have any good recommendations for hotels near the train station. Have a great time!

Hi John,

We spent three weeks in Sevilla last December and are still talking about it! We took small group tours with Concepcion of Sevilla Walking Tours. She has been on Ricks’s show. She and her partner were AMAZING and well-priced!

A surprise for us was the Sevilla Museum of Fine Art - a stunning building architecturally, and beautiful art. Tickets are a couple euro.

We also loved this Palace: https://www.lasduenas.es/
It was a glimpse into how the wealthy really lived. My trip report is on here as well with lots of restaurant recommendations!!

Hotels: What is your budget? Prices will be very high in the lead up to Semana Santa. Why stay near the train station if you want to sightsee?

Restaurants: Budget? What type of food? Do you mind standing while eating?

I have many favorites but need to know your tastes, for both cities.

Both cities are very strong on restaurants.

It will be snail season in Cordoba. I will explain if you tell us if you are willing to eat snails. The experience is so much fun and you can have dinner for under 10euro for two persons. (I was there for five nights last March)

One night in each of those cities is VERY short. Where do you go next?

I’ve been to Seville and Cordoba many times over the past 15 or so years, staying about a month or more in Seville and Cordoba.

I stayed at Hotel Las Casas de El Arenal, in Seville, in February this year for 1 night, whilst our Airbnb was flooded due to a massive weather event. Possibly within your price range, booking.com. Excellent location. All locations in the old town are an easy taxi ride to Santa Justa. Taxis are well priced and reliable.

There is a mind boggling array of tapas bars and restaurants to choose from, though one we enjoy in Seville is Islamorada Tapas Bar in the El Arenal area, where we stay. For the BBQ style you mention we gravitate towards Moroccan restaurants, in both Seville and Cordoba, given the Moroccan influence in Andalusia, we generally find this type of food exceptional.

In Cordoba we enjoy El Rincon de Carmen, and La Posada del Caballo Andaluz, both are in gorgeous settings and the food is consistently good.

My husband & I also stayed at Hotel Las Casas de El Arenal when we were in Sevilla again in February. And I have it booked for another four nights next February at $120/night, not including breakfast. Their breakfast is excellent. The location is very handy to the cathedral and great restaurants, and I like that traveling solo next February, I don’t need to be walking down any obscure tiny lanes at night.

You will be there in the lead-up to Holy Week, which falls about two weeks later. Expect prices to be on the rise and book as soon as you decide. Very nice time to be there.

Tapas can be any kind of food. Do you like shellfish? Meat?
