Seville and Malaga

I am a solo female traveler, age 66. I will be spending the month of November in southern Spain. The two places I have decided on are Sevilla and Malaga. I don’t want to rent a car and I’m more interested in history and culture and being there rather than rushing around. Can you give me some suggestions on what you would recommend doing to fill those two weeks in each place? Thank you in advance!

Well, if I had that much time I wouldn't spend half of it in Seville and half of it in Malaga, nice though they are. I'd also want to see Granada and Cordoba at a minimum. On my most recent trip to Spain, when I spent about 5 weeks in Andalucia, I also stayed in Cadiz, Ronda and Ubeda.

Rick lists his top sightseeing suggestions for many popular destinations on this website. Click on the places listed and then look for "At a Glance" (which won't be there for some of the smaller places): https://www.ricksteves.com/europe/spain/andalucia

Carmona is a good side trip from Seville. You can also day trip to Arcos de la Frontera, though it means quite a lot of time on a bus.

Some of the small coastal towns east of Malaga are accessible by bus. Some of those west of Malaga have commuter-rail service.
