Sevilla to Ronda in a day?

We have extra days in Sevilla during our upcoming vacation and I was looking around and noticed that the bus company Damas has trips from Sevilla to Ronda at/or under 2hrs. I was thinking that this is doable as a day trip. Get there early and walk around most of the day and come back later. Prices are reasonable at about 20 Euros per person for round trip.

What do you all think about this? Is Ronda worth visiting during the day just to take in the views and walk the place some? Keep in mind that we have not been to any of the "hill towns" previously and don't have them on our itinerary this time as well.

We spent about 3 hours in Ronda. Its setting on the river is lovely. I did like some of the other white villages, more, but everyone has their preferences. Arcos and Zahara are both closer to Sevilla. I believe public buses go to both Ronda and Arcos.

A day-trip would be fine for Ronda, though it's obviously a lot more peaceful at night after the day-trippers leave. It does have some sights, so check your guidebook and/or TripAdvisor's Things To Do list so you don't miss something especially appealing.

A day trip is certainly adequate, we've been there on several occasions, driven up from the coast, walked around a bit, had lunch, walked some more and then returned back to the hotel. It's not a large town and the old, interesting bit is very compact. I understand some people spend a couple of nights there but in my opinion there isn't enough to justify such an extended period.

Carmona is nearer and faster to get to/from (about half an hour), and - to me - more attractive and interesting (no "wow" sights as such, but lots of minor attractions). It is on a hill and has plenty of whitewashed buildings, but strictly speaking I don't think it counts as one of the Pueblos Blancos, being in the wrong province.

But if you prefer Ronda and are fine with the journey time, I think a day-trip is feasible. After the impressive views, there's not a huge amount to see. We actually stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed it, but we didn't do much sightseeing as such and what we did do could easily be done in a busy day.

Viator has a good tour that we took that will pick you up near your Sevilla hotel, take you to Ronda and Zahara, and get you back to your hotel area by 7pm. We did this a few weeks ago, excellent coordination by the local tour company that Viator uses.
