Using the website addresses in Rick Steve’s 2018 Spain book, I can’t find any bus connections from Sevilla to Grenada AND the RENFE website says the train I chose is not “available at the moment.” I’m trying to book 2 months in advance. I don’t know what’s going on and need help.

I used Busbud to purchase my bus tickets in Spain. I had a lot of issues using my credit cards on Renfe and just gave up. No extra charges and no issues at all.

Or try trainline.eu which is very quick and easy. They also book bus travel.

We took the ALSA bus from Granada to Sevilla. The bus also runs from Sevilla to Granada.
The bus was comfortable and easy. The bus station is on the outskirts of the city, so you'll need to take a taxi to your hotel.
You can also take the train from Sevilla to Granada, however, due to railway construction around Granada, you'll need to transfer onto a bus once you reach Antequera train station. The bus is provided by Renfe and it will transport you to Granada's train station.
Don't forget to book your Alhambra Tickets now, if you haven't already ; )
