Sevilla-Granada-Barcelon 11-day trip

In October my husband will join me in Sevilla for an 11-day trip in southern Spain. We'll spend a few days in Sevilla, where I will have been living for 6 weeks. We will day trip from Sevilla to Cordoba. After that we want to go to Granada for a few days, then go to Barcelona for a few days. We fly back to US from Barcelona.

I am interested in suggestions for how much time to allot to Granada and Barcelona. I realize our time is short. I am also interested in advice on how to get from Granada to Barcelona. Since I will have been staying in Sevilla, we will start our trip together from there, and end it in Barcelona.

I should also add - do most reservations/rental places require complete weekend stay, or is it reasonable to expect to find somewhere to stay in Granada Thursday-Saturday, and then in Barcelona Saturday evening through Wednesday?

Thanks!

I think 3 nights is good for Granada. Leave Sevilla in the morning via bus or train, arrive in Granada approx. 3 hours later, get settled and have a nice afternoon/evening. Maybe a good night for San Nicholas Viewpoint, and Albayzin walk. The next day at the Alhambra (will take most of a day), then the last day for the other sights in the city (cathedral, royal chapel, etc).

Then 5 nights in Barcelona. That's 8 nights total, leaving 3 for Sevilla. Seems like a good balance to me, especially since you will be very familiar with Sevilla and will know what to show him.

As far as Granada to Barcelona - this might be a case for flying. Vueling runs inexpensive flights on this route, and more traditionally, Iberia does as well.

2 or 3 nights in Seville and Granada each. I was just in Granada for 3 days in May and by the end of the second day we had hit everything on our list, but enjoyed a nice day of doing nothing.

Sevilla - 4 nts (with a day trip to Cordoba)
Bus or train to Granada - 3 nts
Fly to Barcelona - 4 nts (check Vueling for fares)

I agree, 2 full days in Granada is enough. Bus or train from Sevilla or Cordoba, then flight to Barcelona. There is so much to see and do in Barcelona plus day trips, so I'd try to spend as much time there as possible.
