Try Casa Moreno. We were there one year ago at this time.

The place is very popular with locals, and it was slammed at lunch time. The tables were all full, so we bellied up to the bar. They slice the Jamon Iberico right in front of you.

Being new to Spain, we accidently ordered 3 full plates of food, instead of 3 tapas. It was very good, and we finished it off, no problem.

It's a block off of Plaza Nueva, at Calle Gamazo 7. Rick Steves also recommends the place. You would think being so close to the main tourist area it would be touristy, but it was a true slice of Sevilla.

Sevilla has the best tapas in Spain, hence in the world. The tapas bars in the center are frequented by the locals as well as the tourists.

Plan on eating late. Many restaurants don't open until 8:30. We just walk around and look inside different establishments. If it appears to be full of tourists, move on. Some of the best restaurants we've found were located in the back of what appeared to be just a bar. Also, many tourists stay on the main streets, so go a block or two over and you'll probably find what you're looking for; a local restaurant away from the tourists.

Right. Dinner is typically at 9.30 or later. But you can make a meal on tapas any time of the day.

Our favorite place for tapas in Sevilla was at, La Antigua Bodeguita, on Plaza del Salvador, right across from the church by the same name.

It gets very crowded with locals, but we always managed to get a place to sit.

We enjoyed the food so much so that we ate there 3 consecutive days!

Enjoy your trip!
