I was prepared to purchase tickets online for the Sevilla cathedral rooftop tour but after reading the websites "Rules and Recommendations" I am anxious about it. My husband and I are 71 and 73 years respectively and in pretty good shape. But they have you sign a waiver if over 70 assuming responsibility of any incidents during the visit. Frankly it has me a little spooked. Has anyone been on this rooftop tour? Is it unsafe? Are there barriers to prevent falls? We are both pretty mobile and not disabled in any way but are normal 70-somethings. Advice please!
Hi Carol, Is this climbing to the top of the tower? Or is it something beyond that?
No its not the tower. Its a separate offering called the "rooftop tour." 90 minutes long.
Have you looked at the TripAdvisor reviews and photos to gain some more insight.
On the booking site I saw narrow walkway on a slope and no railing. May be fine as long as balance or vertigo isn't an issue.
Bear I find, waivers are all about covering their a%$#s and avoiding litigation....not admitting or intimating heightened danger.
Hey Carol, my husband and I did the tour in April. We are both 67 years old and in relatively good health. Having said that, we aren't fitness center regulars. We found it to be a fantastic tour with spectacular views. You are climbing up staircases and at times they are quite narrow and dark. But what we found is that you went up in stages. It was wonderful seeing views of the interior of the cathedral as well as a view of Seville from the top.
Thank you so much. This really helps having someone chime in who has actually done the tour!
