Sevilla and Cordoba private guides

Hello,

Please recommend a private tour guide (english speaking) for Sevilla who does an excellent job with the cathedral and Alcazar, and same for Mezquita in Cordoba.

Personable, knowledgeable, strategic, reliable.

Thanks.

RS recommends some in his guide, at least for Sevilla. If I had a guide, I'd look up the name. If you watch the RS tv show, he talks with a few of the guides he uses in Sevilla.

Concepcion Delgado in Sevilla is one of Rick's recommended guides, and you'll see her in some of Rick's older Andalusia/Sevilla videos. Rick gives contact info in his current Spain 2019 book.

Yes, Kent, thanks! I was racking my brain for her name. We might have used her for a guide when we were there, but she only works a few days a week (mom of young kids). She does have other guides, though, my recollection that none of them did tours on Monday when we were looking for one. The tours seemed rather reasonable in price.

Yep. See her demonstration to Rick of the use of Japanese-style fans by Andalusian women to indicate interest, or lack of interest, in a man. The look on Rick's face was....interesting.

We haven't gone yet (trip in Oct), but have booked a private tour in Cordoba with a Rick Steves' recommended guide, Angel Lucena Aguilar-Tablada. I will say that responses have been very prompt and flexible on what to do.

Thanks for all the replies. If you have the contact info for the guides, please share their email.

Pepita, I no longer have the Rick Steves guide for Spain, but if you pick one up at your library or book store, each city has a section of Rick Steves recommended guides with contact info. I know I looked at Concepcion's website so she does have one. I'm not trying to be evasive, but you can easily find this and other recommendations in the guide

Angel's email is [email protected]. Concepcion's website is sevillawalkingtours.com, where you will see they do small group tours and also private tours. There are other recommendations in the Spain guidebook, so Jules' recommendation is good to check them out from the library or purchase so you have others to research.
