My mother while visiting my sister in Spain took a fall. She and my father have to extend their trip two weeks in Sevilla. Hoping I can get some suggestions for things for two elderly 90 year old people to do while she recovers. She will be in a wheelchair. They are staying in a hotel next to the cathedral. Any suggestions would very much appreciated
Sorry to hear about this.
Is your father able to push the wheelchair?
An alternative thought - do they have medical insurance which would cover repatriation.
A British friend who broke her colllarbone on holiday in Spain was able to arrange accompanied repatriation straight away.
My father can push her around and she can walk some. I wanted to give him some options of things to do besides sitting in their hotel room
How about a flamenco show? I was here https://museodelbaileflamenco.com/ with a lady using a walker and they have an elevator to see the museum (and show, of course), so it’s all accessible once inside.
90 or 9, wheelchair or feet, Plaza de Espana is an awesome place to hang out and people watch in the evening. You can arrange a wheelchair taxi with the help of your hotel. Keep the number handy for pickup.
The only hitch is bathroom access at the site, which I just can't remember if they're accessible and close by.
The Setas are wheelchair accessible and have a lovely rooftop walk.
The Alcazar has beautiful gardens.
And don't miss the cathedral.
