I'm glad David suggested the Indian Archives. Fascinating history, beautiful building, and it's free. I have to say it does a good job of glossing over a disgraceful piece of history.
In 2017, we took a small-group tour (just us and one other couple) to Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz, which I would highly recommend. Between the two places, I would pick Cadiz.
If you like Roman ruins, you may like Italica. It isn’t very far outside of the city.
