Does anyone have a recommendation for a self serve laundry shop in Madrid? I understand the philosophy of doing a little wash each day, but I prefer one or two loads at once.
Maybe try this one: http://www.yelp.ca/biz/lavander%C3%ADa-madrid
One is near the Diego de Leon Metro (Subway Station). Not sure of the name, perhaps if you google you might find it on the main street, well located, etc.
We used the one with the link from rwpeters in 2009. We were staying in a hotel within walking distance. It looks a lot better in the pictures than it did back then.
We have used many, many laundries in many countries and it is the only one that was crowded when we went. Except for me, there were only men in there doing their laundry that day. Sorry, but I don't remember what day of the week it was.
We also prefer one or two loads at once and even as busy as it was, we got our clothes clean and dry much more quickly than if we had washed them in the room.
Try here.
I used the self-service laundry Higiensec. It is just about a block off Calle del Arenal at Plaza Herradores 8 - about a 10 minute walk from Puerta del Sol.
