Segovia Alcazar

For a day trip from Madrid, is it necessary to purchase a ticket in advance for the Segovia Alcazar?
Thanks.

Same here! Bought ticket day of and it was not crowded at all. It is an uphill drudge from the subterranean parking area. Stop in to the Meson di Candido for their suckling pig - a specialty of the region.

Mesón de Cándido is located at the base of the aqueduct by the main plaza if you decide to have cochinillo. If you’d rather have it in Madrid, go to Sobrino de Botín, or any number of other places.
