Seat Reservations on Train

Hi! I just made train reservations thru Omio on Renfe/Ave from Granada-Cordoba-Seville for March 25 for my husband & myself. I was able to make seat selections for the Granada-Cordoba leg....but the Cordoba-Seville leg says "no seat assigned".

Is this a problem? We will have plenty of time in Cordoba on the layover to be ready to board the train...but how do you know what seats are available, or did I book too early? Ugh!

Thank you for your advice! The last tickets I need to book are Seville-Cordoba-Madrid, but now I'm wondering if I should wait!

Where did you buy the tickets and with which company?

Good question - I will go back to edit my post! I bought them through Omio. The train tickets are Renfe Ave.

Omio is a 3rd party selling seats on RENFE before the actual schedule comes out. You should book directly with RENFE the company actually operating the trains. The actual current schedule is not out this far in advance, so there is a possibility of changes to your ticket.

Also when we took Cordoba to Seville it was a regional or medium distance trains; those are more local commuter trains and don't come with a seat assignment. The AVE trains are longer distance high speed trains and are the only ones that will come with a seat assignment.

Thank you! That all makes sense! Appreciate your help - I had read about so many people having issues with booking on Renfe, but I will look into it again!
