Recently I viewed on PBS a Rick Steve's episode on scenic train trips in Spain. Unexpectedly I am headed to Spain and would like to incorporate one or more segments into my trip. Please identify the various routes with any other helpful information.
Rick's videos are here - scroll down and click Spain to see the episodes: https://www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/video/tv-show
After you click on an episode, you can scroll down and click to see the transcript. This way, you can look for one that has trains in it, without having to watch each episode to see if it's the one you want.
Do you know what region of Spain you'd like to visit?
Here are some scenic trains you may be interested in, they look amazing but they are not inexpensive.
Enjoy your trip!
There's some very nice scenery along the narrow-gauge Euskotren lines in the Basque Country.
Looking at the map in the link posted above, I wonder whether the very expensive Transcantabrico train doesn't simply run on the same lines used by FEVE. If so, one could have a least chunks of the scenery without the cost. (Also without all the special daytime activities and train berths, of course.)
