Sant Vicenç de Montalt, in Catalonia -roughly pronounced "san-bee-sens-duh-mon-tal", a small town (pop 6000) located in El Maresme county, in between Barcelona and Costa Brava. The town in itself has nothing worthwhile mentioning, just a regular town, but what's important -to you as a tourist anyway- is that it's located very near the coast (at about a mile or so) which has plenty of beaches and many towns -all of which well communicated with MatarĂ³ -the capital of the county- and with Barcelona. The nearest station is Caldes d'Estrac ("cal-das-das-trac") at literally 10' from MatarĂ³, and under an hour from Barcelona. The line is a sort of commuting line so it has many trains per hour.

MatarĂ³ is a cosy small city with a quirky old district, worth visiting for strolling, window-shopping, having a drink in one of the terraces, etc.

If anything it'd be interesting to know the exact address of your house/hotel etc because depending on whether you are more central (in Sant Vicenç) or maybe in the outskirts, the travelling time to the train station in Caldes d'Estrac might take up to 45'. There's one bus line (C-21) connecting the town with the station. More details here.
