Sant Pau Recinte Modernista question

Hi! I am trying to book a tour of SPRM. It shows that the hours in June are 10-18:30. When I click on self guided visit, it only gives me 2 options, 10 and 2:00. It shows if I want a guided tour in English my only option is 11:00. I am looking to do a tour with audio if possible, I don't need a guide. Does anyone know if I book one of the other options (10 or 2:00) if you get a headset to learn what you are seeing?

It confuses me when it states the hours being 10-18:30 but then only offers 2 times for self guided tours. I don't believe this is because the other times are sold out.

I visited the site in August 2016. At that time, I think English tours were only offered at 11 AM, so I believe that information is probably correct.

I think the 1000 / 1400 times probably just indicate a morning vs. an afternoon visit. I know Enric has suggested pre-purchasing tickets whenever possible, but my experience--again, last August when the city certainly had lots of tourists elsewhere--was that I simply walked right up and bought a ticket. The English-language audio guide was readily available. I don't remember whether there was an extra charge for it. There were fewer than a dozen other visitors while I was at the (totally fabulous) site.

@acraven ok great, thanks for your input. I will figure out what I need to do but not stress about the time for SPRM.

@acraven I am confused and keep getting different answers. I feel like we are going to very much enjoy SPRM but only if we have an audio guide or a real guide. You said the audio guides were readily available. Was that with the purchase of a regular ticket? I am getting the impression from others that they wondered around and didn't really know what they were seeing since they didn't choose the guide option and their website is not very informative on this. Being that there is only an 11:00 guided option, it is causing some problem in my scheduling. If I was certain that there is an audio available upon arrival, that would make my planning much simpler. Sorry for the twenty questions!

We visited in September 2016 and also had no difficulty buying tickets at the door , the place was empty , not so , Sagrada Familia . I recall an introductory video , before entering . I wouldn't over agonize over a guided tour , we went through on our own and had no trouble understanding what was there . The building exteriors are some of the finest Art Nouveau eye-candy anywhere . This should be of help - http://www.cloudguide.me/b0bc8d05-d3c9-4959-ad46-49cf6e9463af

I'm sorry; I think I must have been mistaken about the audio guide. It's quite possible there was just a leaflet briefly describing the visitable areas. I went to so many modernista sights, I think I may have gotten confused about this one. But I found the information available just fine. (There were displays with English translations.) You should not worry if you can't make the tour work with your schedule. The site is still very much worth visiting.

I'm sorry to have caused unnecessary confusion.

@steven Thank you for your input. @acraven do not worry about the confusion! You have been great help with my planning and I'm sure that I would love more advise from you in the near future:)))

I went last September on a guided tour. It was a quick one hour tour at 11:00 as you mentioned (I don't have the patience to read through all the posted descriptions). After that we had free time to go back to what we saw in a hurry earlier. Bear in mind that with the escorted tour you visit areas that are not accessible to those without the tour. I got a pamphlet but don't recall if they readily has audio guides because I rarely use them. In any case, you will be amazed by the architecture here. Hard to believe it's only half or a quarter of the size than originally intended to be.
