My husband and I will be in San Sebastian for three nights in the third week in June. Years ago we took a guided tour in Normandy in a mini van to see some of the top sights, and really enjoyed it. I'm looking for a similar experience in the Basque country. I haven't had any luck getting a reply from a highly recommended operator in the RS guidebook, so I'm wondering if anyone out there has alternatives to suggest?

You might email maribels guides and ask her. Also check out tripadvisor city forums. I think some guides are mentioned there. We are doing a trip there in July without guides. Seems like the funicular is one thing and tapas. We are staying at a bnb Pensionaia which got great reviews and seems like the owners will set us up with anything info we need. We also are going to be in Bilbao and seems people day trip there from San Sebastián. Rick Steves also has some audio guides on San Sebastián I've listened too. Two great beaches one for swimmers and the other for surfing also with promenades.
