Hello. Have been trying for one week to get tickets to see church and tower for 7 days. The first attempt allowed me to put in all info and then refused further progress saying I needed to contact my credit card company which I had already done. Recontacted three differentcredit card companies to advise I would be travelling in two weeks to Barcelona. Attempted to request tickets on the website the next day and it gave me an error message after putting in tinfo( name, ticket type, date, time. But when I pressed pay it gave me an error messsge. I have had several email conversations since with the website which has suggested changing computers, email address, name , and phone number. I even cleared out all my history, cookies etc and restarted the computer. They say I should go to the church the day I visit and tell the staff my problem. I can’t imagine who qi would talk too since they say you have to buy online. Any ideas? I have seen other posts addressing this issue since January 2023. Very frustrated. I even tried calling the phone number given but could not connect. Any help?
Your cards may not meet the 3-D secure requirements imposed by many European websites. Read more here:

Your travel notifications to the credit card companies will enable to use your cards in person when you are in Spain, but that notification may not apply to online purchases—-especially if your cards do not have the extra security measures.
American Express always works for me, although sometimes I need to use 2-factor authentication.
Indeed, as Lola points out, several US-based banks offer ccards that are not fully compliant with the modern security requirements imposed by many European websites -in compliance with EU law. Other than speaking to your bank and ensuring all security features based on the 3DS internationally recognised standard are activated, you cannot do much else.
You could try an alternative, and that's purchasing your ticket at the Barcelona Tourism Office -also available online at https://bcnshop.barcelonaturisme.com/shopv3/en/ While this a safe intermediary to buy your tickets from, it's an intermediary nonetheless, so prices will be marked up in relationship to prices at Sagrada Família's website.
If you haven't already done so, try your ATM card if it is also a debit card.
If you haven't been successful yet, try a different internet browser (or a few). I typically use Firefox, but had some problems with Renfe's site, and had luck with Opera. Didn't have a problem with sagradafamilia.org with Firefox.
