Sagrada Familia & Tower schedules

I've read several posts about the entrance times for La Sagrada Familia and the Towers. I just want some confirmation of my understanding of how this works. When I go to the official website, I can select a time block for the tower, which then gives my entrance time to the main cathedral as 15 minutes prior to that. The website does not allow me to choose separate entrance times. If I am given 9:00 for the cathedral entrance and then 9:15 for the towers, does that mean I should arrive at approx. 8:45, enter the cathedral at 9:00, then 15 minutes later do my tower visit? Once I complete the tower visit, can I resume my visit of the main complex? Thanks for the help.

Yes, that would be a good plan. You can stay in the church and explore as long as you like after you descend from the tower. It is absolutely beautiful!

As someone else on this forum pointed out, you can't return to the church (or the museum) after you enter the gift shop, so leave the shop till the very end.

They want you to arrive by 9:00 am and get on the small elevator to the top of the tower by 9:15 am. We visited on July 7, started in the Tower and finished with touring the church afterward. The tower stairs let you out of the tower into the main church space on the ground floor. After touring the church, we dropped off the audio guides and exited through the gift shop. A note: the upper stairway passage is just the width of an average person shoulders.
Have fun,
Ed

Thanks so much for these responses. They answered my questions completely. Looking forward to my first visit to Barcelona next Spring.
