sagrada familia tickets and tower

Hello:

I am visiting Barcelona July 29-ug 2 and of course want to go the Sagrada Familia. We went in 2014 and got tickets for 9am and it was great in there being first in, so I planned that again. I thought the tickets opened at the beginning of the month for the next 2 months (so my July tickets would open June 1), they were not open when I checked in the beginning of May...

Well I checked today and they are open, and July 30 11am is the earliest, and July 31, it;s 9:45. I could go instead on Aug 1 (we fly out Aug 2), and then hopefully get the first slot as soon as they open...

Problem is, when do they open???

Also, we did the Nativity tower last time I think, and I for sure want the spiral staircase... I am traveling with someone who has never been, so I was thinking we do Nativity again for me... but should we do Passion? Which is better? Do they both have spiral staircase?

Thanks!!
Kim

Kim, last week we did the Nativity tower and it contained a spiral staircase. Quite narrow and daunting for some. I haven't done the Passion tower, but I think the Passion tower gives you a better view of the sea while the Nativity Tower gives you better views of the mountains near Barcelona.
